crystal-video-upscaler: image generation model

High-precision video upscaler tuned for faces, portraits and products — sharp detail and natural skin without identity drift. Served asynchronously through Hormouz from inside Iran.

Pricing:
$0.1000 – $0.3000 / megapixel-sec of output
Type:
video

Crystal Video Upscaler is built by the maker of Clarity AI and aimed squarely at the failure modes that make ordinary video upscaling unusable on people: blurry faces, plastic-looking skin, and faces that drift into someone else across frames.

It takes a video and a scale factor. That is the whole interface — there is no prompt, no resolution picker and no frame-rate setting. Output resolution is your input multiplied by the scale factor, capped so the result does not exceed 4K.

Billing is per megapixel-second of output: the area of each frame multiplied by the length of the video, at a rate that depends on the frame rate. Both figures are measured from the finished result, so cost scales with what was actually produced. For example, a 3.5-second clip upscaled to about 2 megapixels costs around $0.70 at 30fps; the same clip in 4K costs roughly four times that, and 60fps doubles it.

Because none of that can be known from the request, Hormouz reserves an amount covering a typical job and returns the remainder once the real figures arrive. Hormouz provides stable access from inside Iran, with no foreign credit card or circumvention tooling required.

FAQ

How much does Crystal Video Upscaler cost?
It is billed per megapixel-second of output — frame area multiplied by video length — at a rate set by the frame rate of the result. Both are measured after the job finishes, so a 3.5-second clip at about 2 megapixels and 30fps costs around $0.70, while the same clip in 4K costs roughly four times that. Current rates are shown in the Hormouz dashboard.
Why is more reserved from my balance than I am finally charged?
The request carries only a video and a scale factor, so the output size, length and frame rate are all unknown when the job is accepted. Hormouz reserves an amount covering a typical job and releases the difference once the real figures are reported.
What resolution will I get?
Your input resolution multiplied by the scale factor, capped so the output does not exceed 4K. There is no explicit resolution setting — the scale factor is the only control.
How is this different from a general upscaler?
It is tuned specifically for faces, portraits and products. General upscalers tend to smooth skin into a plastic look and let a face drift between frames; Crystal is built to keep detail and identity stable across the clip.
